everyone’s talking about the winter holidays already, and without much guilt of it coming too soon. so although it’s still a bit early, we might as well join in the spirit of looking forward to the magic and mayhem!
harpers ferry was the first stage that mary, cindy (our ex-bassist), and jessica first played as THE ‘BEAM. on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 10th, THE (new) ‘BEAM is heading back–and this time with an entourage. we’re transforming harpers into a shiny and sparkly winter wonderland, friends!
VIDEODROME will be helping to create the atmosphere with sights and sounds to tickle your inner child and re-ignite that silvery spark in your soul. shine your dancing shoes and bring your bright eyes because he’ll not only be spinning and projecting between sets, but will cap the night off with a full set of his own to keep the party going into the wheeeeeeeeee! hours of the night.
to kick the night off right, DO NOT FORSAKE ME OH MY DARLING will grab you by the ears and take you hostage in the way that little boys dream of supermodel vigilantes. they bring the rock so hard that it’s illegal in 38 states*. if there’s ever a reason to be at the club on time, this is it, people.
if you liked THE CHARMS, you’re going to love JEDDO STARS, fronted by the same sassy singer. mixing dancey beats with delightful vocal harmonies, this crew will get you bopping, swinging your hips, and making flirty eyes at the hot guy four people over from your left.
and if you can imagine the kind of spicy warm drink you’d like to sip by the fire, reminiscing on melancholy days gone by and dreaming of the rambunctious ones to come, we–THE SUN LEE SUNBEAM–would like to pour it down your throat and suck its bittersweet sugar off your pretty little lips. but not in the scary dominatrix kind of way. more like the virgin locked away for too long.
as it happens, the live music is fully female fronted. however, balanced off with the boys in the bands and the man behind the turntable and projector. ah, yes. there are chromosomes aplenty.
dig out your holiday bests, put a silver star on your advent calendar for december 10th and get ready to taste the fun!
